Every month, Happy Chaos Bike Lab highlights someone whose work sits at the intersection of culture, community, and movement. These are the homies shaping mobility justice in their own lanes — educators, organizers, bike technicians, advocates, and coaches who make our streets, neighborhoods, and bike spaces better.
This series celebrates the people who show up with intention—the ones who build, teach, repair, coach, and create access. The ones who make mobility feel like belonging.
This month, we celebrate Lena Williams — now officially Organizational Coach Lena, recognized by the League of American Bicyclists after delivering a standout seminar and completing her league review.
Her accomplishment is significant. It reflects discipline, consistency, and a level of excellence that’s rare in the LCI pathway.
Lena moved from being 1 in 8,000+ individuals who engage with League education and training to becoming 1 of only 23 officially elevated coaches— a rare achievement that reflects clarity, discipline, and a coaching presence that resonates.
Coach Lena represents intentional leadership and the kind of dedication that strengthens the League of American Bicyclists community. We honor her not just for the title, but for the work, the growth, and the standard she continues to set.
